FlameAde is a ready-to-use, fluorine- and boric-acid-free fire retardant for absorbent materials. Spray it on fabric, grass, brush, trees, untreated wood, curtains, carpets, etc. until just damp; once dry, the surface meets NFPA 701 (Method 1) and ASTM E-84 Class A ratings. One gallon covers about 360 ft² of natural fibers or 300 ft² of synthetics (nylon/polypropylene may need heavier, two-sided application). It won’t stain or stiffen, rinses clean with water, and should be reapplied after rain. Commonly used on movie sets, theaters, and household textiles to reduce ignition, limit fire damage, and create fire breaks.
